"No Other Name"
The name of Jesus is a theme in praise. In Acts 4 in the Bible, it says the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees didn't know what to do about the boldness of Peter and John. So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. Peter and John answered in verse 20, "For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."
In 1990, a praise song became popular, entitled "No Other Name." It was written by Robert Gay, a songwriter and worship leader for Integrity's Hosanna! Music and a pastor. The words to Robert's song are:
No other name but the name of Jesus,
No other name but the name of the Lord;
No other name but the name of Jesus
Is worthy of glory, and worthy of honor,
And worthy of power and all praise.
Bridge:
His name is exalted far above the earth;
His name is high above the heavens.
His name is exalted far above the earth;
Give glory and honor and praise unto His name.
